This week Clare Co. Council announced their plans, in conjunction with the Lady’s Irish Open in Dromoland Golf Club, to host a Community Festival in Newmarket on Fergus on Saturday 2^nd and Sunday the 3^rd of September. This festival will take place on the Ballycar Road and on the “Green” or carpark in front of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. As a gesture of good will, and in an effort to facilitate this community event, the Saturday Evening Mass on Saturday the 2^nd of September will moved to The Wells Church. While this may be a source of inconvenience we believe that hosting Mass in Our Lady of the Rosary Church with the planned traffic restrictions, the lack of a parking and envisaged music and events would be much more difficult for ourselves as a praying community and for the event organisers. Clare Co Council have assured us that we will be able to conduct Mass as normal on Sunday the 3^rd. There will be more details to follow in the coming weeks.
