A note from the Bishop

The Priests of the diocese will be on annual diocesan in-service in Loughrea from Sunday evening November 6th to Wednesday lunch time November 9th. This is a very important time for priests to be together and engage in on-going personal and skill development. It is hoped that all priests in active ministry would be completely free from pastoral engagements during this time. A panel of retired priests have kindly agreed to provide emergency cover during these days, should the need arise. In the unlikely event where this cover might not be available it would be appreciated if funerals could be suspended until the priest returns on Wednesday afternoon. In parishes where training has taken place a community led liturgy will replace the daily Mass.

In the Tradaree Pastoral Area, Daily Mass will be celebrated in Shannon at 10.00 and on Tuesday and Wednesday in Sixmilebridge at 10.00. In Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Newmarket there will be Rosary and Adoration beginning at 10.00 each morning.
