Killaloe Diocesan Appointments 2024

Diocesan Changes

Bishop Fintan has just published the diocesan changes for 2024. The announcement that has most import on Newmarket on Fergus Parish and on the Tradaree Pastoral Area is that at the end of July Fr. Michael is being moved from Newmarket on Fergus and Tradaree and to be to be VF in Radharc na nOileán Pastoral Area and to be resident in Kildysart. Fr. Michael will also continue in his role as Episcopal Vicar for Mission and Ministry for the Diocese. Fr. Michael will be replaced by Fr Albert McDonnell who will take up his appointment in early November following a mini-sabbatical. In the interim the priests of the Tradaree Pastoral Area will take responsibility for Newmarket on Fergus Parish with Fr. Tom Whelan taking on the role of acting VF and contact person for Newmarket on Fergus Parish. We wish Fr. Michael every blessing in his new appointment and we look forward to welcoming Fr. Albert in November.
